Dr. Krithi Jaligama

Dr. Krithi Jaligama was born in Hyderabad, India and raised in Rochester Hills, MI. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health as well as in Nutrition and Food Science at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO).

Dr. Jaligama completed her fourth-year externship rotations at the Edward Hines VA Hospital of the Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL; Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL; America’s Best Contact and Eyeglasses in Algonquin, IL; John D. Dingell VA Hospital of the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI. These clinical experiences provided her with a strong foundation in urban and community-based optometry, advanced ocular disease management, and the delivery of comprehensive care to patients of all ages across diverse populations in the Chicagoland and Metro Detroit areas.

During optometry school, she was actively involved in organizations such as the American Academy of Optometry’s ICO Chapter (AAO), Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH), and the South Asian Cultural Association (SACA).

Outside of optometry, Dr. Jaligama is passionate about Indian dance and is formally trained in Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form. In addition to Bharatanatyam, she enjoys performing and teaching other styles of Indian dance. In her free time, she values staying active through fitness and spending time with family and friends.Dr. Jaligama is thrilled to join Omni Eye Services and is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered eye care. She values building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their best possible vision and ocular health.
