The Alcon AcrySof® IQ Vivity® lens provides high-quality distance and intermediate vision, and functional near vision. Omni is among the first practices to use this lens, along with our other advanced technologies including ORA, Dropless Surgery, and LenSx Laser Bladeless Surgery.Vivity uses non-diffractive technology called X-Wave™. Alcon’s non-diffractive technology uses all available light to create a continuous, extended range of vision. Near vision may not be as good as the PanOptix Trifocal IOL, but compared to other Multifocal and Trifocal lenses, Vivity patients report less glare and halos post operatively.
As with any premium intraocular lens, there is a significant out of pocket cost that the patient is responsible for, as no insurance companies including Medicare will cover it. Care Credit is available for those who qualify to finance the lenses over time.
