iDose® TR

iDose® TR (travoprost intracameral implant)

Dr. Yadgarov was the first glaucoma specialist in Georgia to offer his patients the iDose TR implant. iDose TR works continuously to help lower eye pressure in people with open-angle glaucoma or high eye pressure (ocular hypertension).

Historically, the most common treatment for glaucoma has been prescription eye drops. Although prescription eye drops are still commonly prescribed, in the last decade, minimally invasive procedures have been transforming the way doctors treat high eye pressure and glaucoma.

What is the iDose?

iDose TR is the first and only FDA-approved fixed implant that helps lower eye pressure in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Barely visible to the human eye, iDose TR is a tiny implant specially designed to continuously release prescription medication directly inside your eye, where it’s needed most.

With iDose TR, you get the prescription medication your eye needs, without the inconvenience of prescription eye drops or challenges of putting them in the eye.

Benefits of a proactive approach with Interventional Glaucoma like iDose

The Interventional Glaucoma approach means choosing a minimally invasive procedure earlier in your treatment journey rather than traditional drop therapy. This may help:

  • Prevent disease progression
  • Minimize side effects of prescription eye drops (eg, eye burning, stinging, irritation)
  • Lower eye pressure
  • Reduce or avoid challenges associated with eye drops add (eg, difficulty putting drops in the eye; inconvenience of using drops every day)
  • Decrease or eliminate the need for daily prescription eye drops

8 of 10 patients were completely free of IOP-lowering drops at 12 months with iDose TR4
